Pasar Minggu (Weekly Market) Kampung Baru

Above and below - various take-aways (bungkus) available.
I like the look of the tahu (tofo)

'Apam' being prepared - see menu for price

The Ice-Cream man

I was suprised to come across some Yong Tau Foo stalls
(but these are halal versions of the popular Chinese dish)

Stall selling various home-made goodies ......like the look of those scones (probably made from rice flour). The chocolate cake (obscured) looked really tasty........

Pancake day.............

Some high-rise flats nearby the market - showing many
flags of the PAS (Islamic) party
The original Malay houses of Kampung Baru next to the new......
Old style building....reminds me of old style I've seen on Sumatra
The old and new.....

Original Kampung Baru buildings with Petronas Twin Towers
in background.
Mr Sa'ad selling Young Tau Foo

Nasi Ayam bungkus (Chicken Rice take-aways)

Satay stall
The wee charcoal grill is called a 'bara'
Air Buah (Fruit Juice) anyone ?
The one below is called 'Mata Kucing' - 'Cats Eyes'

Soup stall - selling laksa + curry noddle soups

Adding the noodle to plastic bag to which she will add the soup
